- This guide supports:
- Chromecast with Google TV (HD or 4K)
- Smart TVs with Google TV (Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Sharp)
- Android TVs (slightly different interface but same process)
- Plug the Google TV dongle into an HDMI port on your TV.
- Connect the USB cable to power, using the included power adapter.
- ⚠️ Do not plug into the TV’s USB port—it may not provide enough power.
- Use the remote control that came with the Chromecast.
- Press and hold the pairing buttons on the remote.
- Select your language when prompted.
- If you have an Android phone:
- You can transfer Wi-Fi and Google account directly.
- If not:
- Manually select your Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and sign in to your Google account.
- Follow the prompts to:
- Accept terms
- Click “Yes”, “Continue”, “No Thanks”, and agree where needed
- If checkboxes appear, select them; if not, continue
- Go to the home screen, locate the “Apps” section.
- Click on Google Play Store (or search icon if not visible).
- Search for “Channel D” (use the voice feature or type it in).
- Select and install the app.
- Open Channel D and view the app thumbnail.
- Enter your 6-digit Practice ID from the top-left of your Channel D dashboard on your computer.
- Once connected, the playlist from your computer will now display on your TV.
- Clicking the Apps icon
- Selecting Channel D thumbnail again
- Go to Settings > Device Preferences > Screensaver
- Set screensaver to “Never” to avoid interruptions.
- If an update was interrupted or corrupted, reinstall the app:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
- Click Channel D > Uninstall
- From the Home screen, search for Channel D in the Play Store or use the search icon
- Reinstall and re-enter your Practice ID
