Initial LG TV Setup
Step 1: Begin Setup Process
- Press OK on your LG remote to start the setup.
- Select your preferred language.
Step 2: Connect to Wi-Fi
- Choose the strongest available Wi-Fi network.
Step 3: Accept Terms and Enable Auto Updates
- Agree to LG’s Terms and Conditions.
- Ensure Automatic Updates are turned ON.
Step 4: Sign in to LG Account
- Sign in or create an LG Account.
- Click Done when finished.
Install and Launch Channel D
Step 5: Open the Apps Section
- On the Home Screen, select the Apps section.
Step 6: Search for Channel D
- Type “Channel D” in the search bar
(make sure there is a space between “Channel” and “D”). - Select Channel D from the results.
Step 7: Install the App
- Click Install.
- The Channel D app will now appear on your Home Screen.
Step 8: Enter Your Practice ID
- Open the Channel D app.
- Enter your 6-digit Practice ID
(found at the top left of your Channel D dashboard).
Step 9: Confirm Video Playback
- Your Channel D videos should now begin playing.
Step 10: Move Channel D for Easy Access
- Reposition the Channel D app icon to a convenient spot on your Home Screen.
Prevent Sleep Mode Interruptions
Step 11: Turn Off Energy Saving
- Go to: Home Screen > System > General > Energy Saving.
- Set Energy Saving to OFF.
Step 12: Why It Matters
- Prevents the TV from sleeping.
- Ensures uninterrupted Channel D video playback.
Troubleshooting
Step 13: Reinstall If Needed
- If the app misbehaves or an update fails:
- Select the Channel D app.
- Press OK.
- Choose Delete.
Step 14: Reinstall Channel D
- Go back to the Apps section.
- Search Channel D.
- Download and reinstall.
